Okay real quick here, I'm getting a bunch of questions from you all that don't use your real name, so if you want credit for asking the question, use your real name! Cool.
It's almost impossible to tell how much money there is in the whole world unless you ask each and every person how much money they've got. And then you have to ask them about all of the stuff they own and then guess how much all of that is worth. And then you'd have to ask each government how much money they have, and on and on and on. It gets out of hand pretty quick, huh? And don't forget about all of those hidden Spanish Galleons! :)
Here's how most of the world gauges how wealthy we are as a planet. It's called the Gross World Product (ewww, gross...), and that simply means the dollar total of every country's wealth that was created (jobs, products, etc.) that are then all added up to get the number. Want to know what it was for the year 2001? 47 Trillion Dollars, or $47,000,000,000,000!!! That's a lot of zeros!
