How To Use

Welcome to the Parents Page of "Bank Junior." Here's an explanation of the items and links on the Parents Area home page. Reach the content either from the links on this page or those on the previous page.

Bankruptcy Information re: Utah keeps you up to date regarding the rate of personal bankruptcies in Utah. Utah has been leading the Nation in the per capita ranking for over three years.

Reasons for Bankruptcy helps explain why that's been the case. Please help us do something about this dubious honor!

Correlation to Idaho Achievement Standards helps teachers in Idaho relate the content to their teaching objectives.

PDF Folder contains images of a check, deposit slips, check registers, job application forms, budget planner...and other forms useful in teaching personal finance. All of these images are in PDF format.

Bookshelf. On several pages of Bankjr.com you will find a link to the Bookshelf. This takes you to a list of books available in school or public libraries that provide further insight into personal financial literacy. Some are for kids; some are for teachers and parents.

Content
The links on the left of the screen take you to the content of Bank Junior. Choose the one that relates best to the grade level you are interested in. Clicking on one of those choices takes you to a list of documents. Click on any title to review each document to decide which ones are the most useful. At the bottom of the document is a list of the documents from which questions were taken for the Quiz and the name of the Quiz in the Testing Center.

Going back to the Site's home page, entering the Classroom at the lower left will take you to the same documents. Choose "Elementary" or "6+," then note a dark green column on the left. Click on the category you wish to explore and use. You may print any document and use it a master to copy and distribute or use as you wish.

Savings Wizard
Use this fun tool to help students realize how much he or she needs to save every week to reach a goal in a given number of weeks.

Testing Center
Find a list of the quizzes available by name. You can take these quizzes yourself or have your children take them. Each student should type his or her first name in the white block, answer each question by clicking on one of the "radio buttons" below each one, then clicking on "Grade Quiz" at the bottom of the quiz. The grade report and analysis will appear. Going over this with your child will help you gauge how well your child has understood the information you have been reviewing.

It's a list of over 100 money-related terms. Throughout the content, these words are shown in a different color. Clicking on them will take the user directly to the Glossary, then return to the document.
